Boat owners are welcome to stay as long as they wish in the Herm harbour. There is no charge for using either the mooring buoys or the beach chains or for staying overnight. In order to stay overnight boat owners must first register at either the White House Hotel or the Administration Office, situated on the harbour.
Please note that boaters are not expected to register each time they visit the island. Once you have registered the boat you are able to 'come & go' as you please without re-registering.
Facilities include showers, WCs, rubbish collection, fresh water, telephone, grocery store and gift shops. There are excellent restaurants at The White House Hotel and The Mermaid Tavern.
All facilities and moorings are maintained at the island's own expense for the use of visiting boaters. The island does, however, ask that boaters make a voluntary donation towards the costs of maintaining these services. Donations can be made while registering at the hotel or administration office.
