Description
Best situation on the island and refurbished winter 2004/5. Facing south in its own micro-climate, overlooking farmland and the harbour this cottage is just 100 metres from Fisherman’s Beach. Just a 5 minute walk along flat coastal path to Harbour Village. Old-style character cottage with Aga set in large private garden with garden furniture and barbeque.
Entry through a small porch to hallway with stairs to first floor. Door into large lounge with double bed-settee and open fire. Door from hall into spacious well-fitted kitchen/dining room with an oil fired Aga and one of the island’s only dishwashers! Second Wc & Shower room. Payphone accepting incoming calls..
Stairs to first floor with one double (will separate to twin beds by request) and one twin bedroom. Separate bathroom.
If Fisherman’s is already booked, as is normally the case, then Upper Belvoir is arguably a comparable alternative. Ideal romantic cottage for winter breaks! Extremely popular at all times of the year.
Utilities
Centrally heated. Electricity and gas are included in the cottage price quoted. Coal available for open fire at an extra charge.
Changeover
Changeover day is a Monday during high season and busy periods. However the changeover day can be varied during low season.
Other
All linen is included in the cottage price shown. Cots and highchairs can be provided free of charge.
Your bags are transported to and from the boat free of charge.
Groceries can be pre-ordered and will be delivered to your cottage on arrival. There is a small grocery shop situated in the Mermaid Tavern.
There is a coin operated laundry located in the Manor Village and at the pine log cabins.
