On certain occasions we have been in a position to allocate sole use of the entire Mermaid Tavern complex to a single group for an evening or daytime function. We have done this several times in recent years and the events have proved to be very successful. The function would get sole use of the Courtyard area, top-deck, restaurant, bars and catering facilities.
We arrange function seating on our 'Top-Deck' and in the courtyard area, with our restaurant also being available if needed. In the past we have found that a barbecue format menu works quite well for very large groups, however there are no 'set menus' for this size of function so we are very much open to suggestions. If it is within our capabilities we will do it.
For the last two years we have successfully held 'sole-use' evening functions for two sailing regattas. We deal with all of the equipment hire, catering, bar supplies, staffing and decorations (eg. flowers) where necessary. We can also accommodate live music and entertainment during the event to give it that extra special atmosphere.
