Live and work on Herm Island
The island employs about 20 permanent staff to live and work on the island all year round. They live here with their families and fill a wide variety of roles within the island business. You have to be employed by the business to live on Herm Island, with all housing being work related.

Our small island relies on a strong "community spirit" to function both socially and at work. Each of the permanent roles goes beyond its basic job description, many of us are firemen, first aiders and special constables. These "extra" bits make our lives more interesting and give you a job which is definitely "out of the ordinary"!
