For over half a century our family has been the guardian of this privately run, paradise island of outstanding natural beauty and peacefulness. During this time we have created a unique world-class island resort whilst carefully preserving the wonderful natural environment that makes Herm so special. In 2002 the island was a winner of Britain in Bloom, gaining a highly coveted Gold Award.
As you set foot on the shores of Herm, expect to be captivated. We are fortunate that this lovely island with its variety of moods and colours, which change with every season, is our family home. Pennie (née Wood) and I took over the guardianship of Herm in 1980 and are now raising our family on this enchanting island where Pennie was born and spent her childhood. We are privileged to continue the family tenancy of this very special and safe island hideaway.
There are no cars, no hurries and no pressure to do anything but delight in Herm's natural splendour and enjoy the high standard of amenities and excellent guest facilities. Whether you stay overlooking the sea in our prestigeous 'Crow's Nest Suite' at the highly commended White House Hotel, with its excellent food and inexpensive wines, or choose to self-cater in the comfortable Manor Village cottages, or maybe spend your holiday under canvas, we think you will be delighted.
