Mermaid Tavern Work Progresses 9th March

Work on the new eating area at The Mermaid Tavern is progressing well.  The photos below will give you a bit of an idea what is happening.

Brett, head gardener, taking out the root of the plane tree that had been growing in the centre of the top deck area.	Brett has taken several cuttings of the plane tree so in a few years time the one taken down will be replaced by several more.
Chris laying tiles in the top deck area.	This was previously the area down to the Mermaid restaurant.  It will now be used for storage.

The doors into the new eating area.  This is where the courtyard food used to be served from.	Richard, the carpenter, building the new bar in the top deck area.
