Island Christenings

The Reverend Richard Bellinger came over to Herm in August to bless the marriage of Yolandi and Brett Moore and to Christen their son Harry.  Yolandi's bouquet is made of her favourite South African plant, King Protea,  Yolandi comes from South Africa.  Family and islanders gathered in St Tugual's church to witness the occasion.  This was followed by afternoon tea in Brett and Yolandi's garden at Lower Belvoir House and then a hot buffet in the evening at The Ship.
William, Charlie and Elliot Knight dressed up to perform their very important role as ushers.
Harry managed to stay awake to enjoy some of the celebrations at The Ship restaurant.
St.  Tugual's Church was full again in September for the Christening of Alfie Pimblett.  His parents, Chris and Lesley (left of photo) had their marriage blessed in the island church in December 2006 after their marriage in the Lake District.  Also in the photo are Godparents Mel Brown and ex-Herm resident, Jane Scarre.
Jane and her partner, Euan, travelled down from their new home in Scotland to be part of Alfie's Christening celebrations.  Both Jane and Euan were pleased to see their Herm friends and to catch up on the news.  Both admitted to being regular Herm website visitors to keep an eye on what is happening on Herm!
