Herm Run - 9th August 2008

Saturday 9th August saw 57 adults and children gathering at the harbour for the annual round Herm run.  The men start two minutes ahead of women and children (to avoid congestion at the steps above Rosaire!).  The course takes runners around the south coast to Belvoir, then Shell and back across the common the quickest way to the harbour.  (See download below for results.)
The first across the line and the winner of the Herm resident's trophy was 18 year-old Jonathan Bailey whose name is on the trophy for the third time.  He completed the run in 19 minutes and 2 seconds - just 3 seconds ahead of Guernsey athletics club runner, Peter Wickens.  Below is a selection of photos taken on the day by Phil Nelson, John Maclaren (both holidaying on Herm) and Pennie Heyworth.  The order of photos doesn't indicate finishing position!
Adrian gives a quick speech before Pennie gives out the prizes.
