Even though you are staying on Herm to enjoy the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere it has to offer, you can still pop across to Guernsey on the Trident ferry for a few hours to see what St Peter Port has to offer. Visiting the islands outside the school holidays usually means fewer crowds at the main tourist attractions.
Step off the boat and into the town centre relaxed and ready for a day of shopping or sightseeing, safe in the knowledge that the peace and tranquillity of Herm beckons at the end of the afternoon. There are numerous attractions to be found in St Peter Port without having to venture out of the town or resort to public transport or car hire. Combine a tourist attraction with a stop for some lunch at one of the many and varied restaurants and bistros in town and this becomes a very civilised way to spend a day.
When available and subject to booking at The White House reception, guests staying on the island can extend their day on Guernsey by catching the 19:00 ‘Captains Table’ boat back to Herm in time for dinner.
