Subject to his workload and weather conditions Adrian Heyworth, Herm Island manager, invites guests staying on the island to join him for trips around Herm and the surrounding waters on his boat Maid Honor. Trips last around one hour and can be booked through the hotel reception.
Puffin Trips - During the spring join Adrian on a Puffin watching trip, spotting the beautiful birds that visit these waters every year. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these surprisingly small birds whose numbers are sadly declining. Guests are able to see puffins on Herm's coast until early July. Even after this time there is still an abundance of birdlife to be seen around our coastline.
Voyages on Maid Honor – Take a voyage on Maid Honor for a trip around Herm and enjoy the island from a different perspective. Learn about the many species of bird and marine life that live on and around our beautiful island.
Weather permitting, longer trips around Herm’s neighbouring islands of Jethou, Sark and Brecqhou are occasionally available.
All trips include a little of Herm’s history, the running of the island, tree planting program and quirky insights into island life.
Donations in lieu of payment are asked for and help to re-establish the island’s tree population, a task which island management consider particularly important.
Suggested donations: Puffin Trip/Herm Voyage £8.00
Sark & Breqhou Voyage £10.00
