Despite being just a mile and a half long and half a mile wide, Herm Island offers visitors the chance to experience an environment as beautiful as it is diverse. The well established pathways and tracks offer the flexibility of a short stroll, after dinner walk or brisk hike around the island. If you are feeling active take the coastal walk around the whole island and wander up the valley to the top of the island and back along its spine. Or if that sounds too taxing various walks divide the island. Perhaps you could choose a comparatively flat amble to the north or go up and over the middle of the island and back along the cliffs of the south coast. The choice is yours. Whatever you choose you are assured of clean air, a car-free environment and stunning views.
